We are pleased to advise the Supreme Court has issued its judgment and confirmed that the class action will proceed on an opt-out basis.
Attached to this update is a copy of the Supreme Court's media release, GCA Lawyers' media release and a full copy of the judgment.
We expect to provide a more detailed report to clients and registrants later this week however, we can state that this is a very positive outcome which will change the class action regime in New Zealand for the future.
